I grew up in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. I started playing both the Cello and the piano at the age of 7. After progressing to Grade 8 on both instruments and performing in various orchestras, ensembles and string quartets during my school years, I decided that music was definitely the path I wanted to follow.
After achieving an A in A Level music, I left Northern Ireland to study at the University of Glasgow where I graduated in 2002 with an MA Hons degree in Music and Celtic Civilisation achieving a 2:1. After graduating, I stayed in Glasgow and established myself as a private instrumental tutor, creating a successful business with a waiting list year on year and a very high exam pass rate for students. I was also the principal cellist and a founding member of the "Caledonian Quartet" string quartet between the years of 2008 to 2015.
I moved to Bristol from Scotland in 2016 and had a successful teaching business for 3 years. I have now relocated back home to Northern Ireland and am establishing my teaching business in Bangor and the surrounding areas.
